"wage slavery" is such a wild term, I can't believe it's a thing.

Seems like we just want more agency. Not in an absolute sense, but in a relative sense to our current state (we just want MORE). Remote work was nowhere as ubiquitous like 10 years ago and for some reason it's not enough now.

On that clarity bit... It's a moving target, but you sound like you're on your way to figuring it out 💙 very curious on the courage bit 👀

Totally agree. Agency is at the core of it!

This is so well written!! “. I don’t think I need more freedom. What I need is more clarity about what to do with the freedom I already have and more courage to put it to good use - for myself, for the people I love, and for the world.” -> I love this quote and I love the research you put into this essay. Awesome read thanks for sharing!

so true - we live in an age of unimaginable freedom compared to 20, 30, 50 years ago. The question is, now that we have the freedom, where do we point it? Rather than pointing it at ourselves, how can we use our freedom to contribute something to society and our communities.

I LOVE this piece - awesome job. For me freedom has become equated with escape... and to me that is running away from something. When we talk about freedom, we should actually be running towards something.

There is so much great nuance in here. It is entirely possible to not only work for an organisation as if you are in a loving and engaging relationship, but also believe that it can end at any moment - which is fine, then you can move on to somewhere else that you can contribute. Freedom doesn't have to mean going alone. Freedom can also mean conspiring together to create something we couldn't do alone.

I think freedom has been massively influenced with a western individualistic nature, where too often they are confused as being intertwined, when they can be separate.

Thanks Jack! Great point that freedom is often equated with an individualistic mindset when that need not be the case.

Not for Everyone. But maybe for you and your patrons?

Dear Ines,

I hope this finds you in a rare pocket of stillness.

We hold deep respect for what you've built here—and for how.

We’ve just opened the door to something we’ve been quietly handcrafting for years.

Not for mass markets. Not for scale. But for memory and reflection.

Not designed to perform. Designed to endure.

It’s called The Silent Treasury.

A sanctuary where truth, judgment, and consciousness are kept like firewood—dry, sacred, and meant for long winters.

Where trust, vision, patience, and stewardship are treated as capital—more rare, perhaps, than liquidity itself.

The two inaugural pieces speak to a quiet truth we've long engaged with:

1. Why we quietly crave for 'signal' from rare, niche sanctuaries—especially when judgment must be clear.

2. Why many modern investment ecosystems (PE, VC, Hedge, ALT, SPAC, rollups) fracture before they root.

These are not short, nor designed for virality.

They are multi-sensory, slow experiences—built to last.

If this speaks to something you've always felt but rarely seen expressed,

perhaps these works belong in your world.

Both publication links are enclosed, should you choose to enter.
